James Oswald Allenson

James Oswald Allenson, Sr., age 72, of Milaca, formerly of Henning, MN. James was the only child of Oswald B. & May (Hanson) Allenson. After his mother's death, his father remarried Helen (Markuson) Larson. On April 24, 1950, he married Rita Lou Gruenzer in Spencer, SD. James served a term in the U.S. Air Force. He owned a hobby farm and worked it full-time after he retired. He was always a farmer at heart. Preceded in death by his parents, and brother, James Larson. Survived by his longtime companion, Betty Jacobson; daughters, Jamie (Heartie) Wilson, Christine (Scott) Peterson, Teri (Tim) Sheridan and son, James (Michelle) Allenson Jr.; 9 grandchildren, 4 great-granddaughters; sister, Lounell Maleitzke. Service Friday, 11 am, Ascension Lutheran Church, 6719 Cedar Lake Rd. S., St. Louis Park. Visitation one hour prior to service at church. Interment Norderhaug Cemetery in Leaf Lake Township.
