Shull Dale B., age 77, of Grand Rapids, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN. He was born in Gnadenahutten, Ohio and graduated college from Ohio State University with a major in Chemical Engineering. He was a paratrooper in the 17th Airborne Division in WWII, is a decorated WWII hero, a member of D.A.V. and was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and gardening. Survived by 2 daughters, Janet Diamond of Eagan, MN, Deanne Alexander of Minneapolis, MN; 2 sons, James C. (Ruthann) Shull, III of New Hampshire, Mark (Cathy) Shull of Edina, MN; 5 grandchildren, Grayden (Jessica), Erin (Fred) Siena, Mark and Mary; 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved companion of 14 years, Marlene Lockhart of Grand Rapids, MN. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until the 1:00 PM Funeral Service on Friday, Nov. 29, 2002 at the Rowe Funeral Home in Grand Rapids, MN. Burial with Full Military Honors will be at the Itasca-Calvary Cemetery in Grand Rapids, MN. Dale enjoyed entertaining friends and family and will be missed by all. ROWE FUNERAL HOME 218-326-6505
