Douglas Ray Field, age 49, Mpls, died 11/24/01 after a short but brave battle with kidney cancer. Preceded in death by father, Raymond; Survived by his wife Pam; daughter, Brooke; son, Ryan; all of Mpls; mother, Wanda; brothers, Dennis and Mike (Linda), all of Hutchinson; nieces and nephews; many loving relatives and friends. Born November 29, 1951 in Anoka. Graduated from Hutchinson High School and the U of MN. He served in the army at Ft. Carson, CO. While there and in high school he played catcher for the local baseball teams. He was very active in his childrens lives, helping with Boy and Girl Scouts, coaching their baseball, softball, and basketball teams. He worked in the wholesale plumbing business for 28 years, the last 16 years at SPS Companies. Special thank you to his co-workers, family and friends and to all the medical staff who helped him. Services Thursday 10 am, Holy Name Catholic Church, 3637-11th Ave S. Visitation Wednesday 6-8 pm at Washburn-McReavy, Peterson-Stohlberg Chapel, 1838 East Minnehaha Pkwy., and one hour prior at church. Interment Oakland Cemetery, Hutchinson, MN. Memorials preferred.
