Taylor Helen Wasmund Taylor Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, died on November 10, 2002. She was 88. Born in Evanston, IL, she spent her adult life in St. Paul, where she raised three children with her late husband, Orley R. Taylor. She was an active member of the St. Paul Garden Club, The Century Club, Nimble Fingers and Unity Church. A great lover of art, with an eye for design, she collected and created many beautiful things. She is survived by three children and their spouses: Orley R. (Chip) and Toni Taylor Jr. of Lawrence, KS; Jed and Agnes (Kati) Taylor of Mendota Heights, MN; Victoria and Thomas Broadie of Indianapolis, IN. She is also survived by six grandchildren and their families: Robin Taylor of Philadelphia, PA; Wendy Taylor and Lammot du Pont and their son Jackson Taylor du Pont of Alexandria, VA; Francie Broadie and Stephen Conway of Indianapolis, IN; Zsoka Taylor McDonald and Chris McDonald of New York, NY; Toby Broadie of New York, NY; and Lenke Taylor of Stamford, CT. She is also survived by two sisters and their husbands: Marge and Ed Center of Skokie, IL and Pauleen and Ed Gomke of Sacramento, CA. Her longtime companion, Walter Mayo of St. Paul, also survives her. A memorial service will be held in celebration of her life at 11 am on Saturday, November 30, at Unity Church, Portland and Grotto in St. Paul. The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory be made to an arts organization of your choice.
