Lussenhop Ross, age 82 years, of Redwood Falls, died on Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at the Redwood Area Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2002 at 10:30 am from St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Redwood Falls with interment at a later date. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the Nelson-Martin Funeral Service with a prayer service at 7:00 pm in Redwood Falls. Visitation will continue Saturday morning at the church from 9:30 am until time of service. Ross C. Lussenhop, the son of Harvey and Anne (Cane) Lussenhop, was born July 30, 1920 in Redwood Falls. Ross was a graduate of Redwood Falls High School. He attended Mankato State College and Dunwoody Institute, leaving to join the Merchant Marines. Ross served in the Merchant Marines from 1942 to 1946. On June 5, 1944 Ross married Jean Drogosch at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Redwood Falls. In 1946 he returned to Dunwoody Institute. Ross had Lussenhop Heating & Plumbing in Redwood Falls. Ross enjoyed his children and grandchildren as well as gardening, scouting, and all his ``coffee outing'' buddies. Ross was a Boy Scout Leader for many years and the recipient of the Boy Scouts Silver Beaver Award. He was WCCO's ``Good Neighbor.'' Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Jean of Redwood Falls; daughters, Tera (Roger) Elias of Plymouth; Jill (Rick) Punch of St. Cloud; Jane (Mike) Hayman of St. Cloud, Mary Sparrowgrove of Sitka, AK, Dana (Ed) Garvey of St. Paul; and sons, Ross (Kathy) Lussenhop of Prior Lake, and Jack Lussenhop of Prior Lake; 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, LaVonne Heimann of Lamberton. Ross was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Faye and Echo.
