Adderley Joseph Talbert, age 74, man of integrity, beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather passed away Monday, November 11, 2002. Joseph died of complications related to his 20 year courageous battle with diabetes. Born January 7, 1928 in Nassau, Bahamas, Joseph came to Minnesota in 1948 to attend Saint Johns University in Collegeville. Upon graduation, Joseph worked for Ancker Hospital which eventually became Saint Paul Ramsey Medical Center. He was the director of the BioChemistry lab for many years until his retirement in 1989. Joseph was very active with the University of Minnesota International Student Center as a sponsor, introducing foreign students to the American culture. Joseph is survived by Rosetta, his loving wife; sons, Ron of Minneapolis, Donald (Dorwatha) of Brooklyn Park, John (Victoria) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; daughter, Lori Ann of Minneapolis; six grandchildren; brothers, Sydney, Godfrey, Arlington; sisters, Margaret, Patsy, Vanderlyn and a host of other relatives from Nassau, Bahamas. Funeral Service Monday, November 18, 11:30 AM at Saint Odilia Catholic Church, 3495 N. Victoria, Shoreview, MN. Visitation Sunday, November 17, 2 pm to 4 pm at Estes Funeral Chapel, 2210 Plymouth Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 612-521-6744. Interment Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. Special thank you to the staff, nurses and doctors of Regions Hospital who provided excellent care for Joseph over the years. Memorials are preferred for the American Diabetes Assoc.
