Wolden Margaret ``Granny'' (nee Mitby), 94, of Duluth, formerly of Minneapolis, died October 13 at 3:40 am in St. Mary's Hospice, surrounded by her family. She was born July 27, 1908 in Mpls, MN. Granny was known as ``Granny'' by everyone. She had a gift of caring for others and giving from her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Herbert M. Wolden; and her daughter, Betty Claire Wolden Endicott. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Marlys Wolden of Duluth, MN; grandchildren, Cindy Hedlund, Pam Schilling, Deb Ruskell, Sarah Endicott Butt and Matthew Endicott; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Sigridt Mitby, Myrtle Mitby, and Alice Wolden; many loving nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends. Margaret was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Richfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Hope Presbyterian Church's youth summer camp program. Funeral service 2 pm Wednesday, October 16, at WERNESS BROTHERS CHAPEL, 3500 W. 50th St., Mpls, with Reverend Gene Rick and Pastor Linda Quanstrom officiating. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
