Wilm Ruth D., age 88 of White Bear lake. Born Jan. 6, 1914 in Loman, MN. Passed away Oct. 11, 2002. Preceded in death by beloved husband, Fred; parents, Esther Palm & Erick Gustaf Johnson; sisters, Alice Anshus, Eva Wirkkula & Irene Jerentosky. Survived by daughters, Barbara Ellis, Jackie (Paul) Colaizy; sons, Michael (Monica) & Bradley (Ruth); grandchildren, Doug, Gwynne, Cascia, Lyndsay, Justin, Laura, Katie, Dallas & Missy; brother, Paul Johnson of International Falls, MN. Also survived by dear nieces, nephews, friends & St. Stephen Lutheran Church family, especially Pastor Dan Brumm. Special thanks to the many loving caregivers at White Bear Lake Care Center. Many years ago Ruth was a schoolteacher on the Nett Lake Indian Reservation in Northern Minnesota where she taught eight grades in a one room school. When she & Fred moved to White Bear Lake, Ruth became a charter member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church and she was very involved in her church circle & bible study group. Her other passion was to be surrounded by family. Ruth was a fantastic cook & baker. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles & other word games. Funeral service Thursday 11:00 AM at St. Stephen Lutheran Church (1965 E. County Rd E WBL). Visitation Wednesday 5-8 PM at Honsa Family Funeral Home (2460 East County Rd E WBL) & 1 hr prior to service at the CHURCH. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
