Callahan Carol Greenwaldt Callahan, died October 8, 2002 suddenly after a recent diagnosis of cancer. Survived by her husband, Edward J. Callahan Jr.; 4 children, Katherine Harder (Shepard), Edward Callahan III, Margaret Wyman (Steven) and Colin Callahan (Jeanine); 3 grandchildren, Christian Harder, Sarah Wyman and Anthony Callahan, and a niece and nephews. Born in Mpls, Dec. 24, 1925, she attended Northrop Collegiate School and Wellsley College. Active in many organizations such as the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Mpls, St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary and its Gift Shop, and the Mpls Art Institute Through the Friends of the Institute. Member of the Woman's Club. She loved art, music, theater and travel, foreign and domestic, and was involved in the restoration activities in Venice, Italy, through the Save Venice Committee here in the Twin Cities. She cherished her friendships. She was loyal and loving to her husband and family and loved by them. They will miss her greatly. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, 11 am at the Church of St. George, 133 N. Brown Rd., Long Lake, MN (follow detour signs through Long Lake to church, 952-473-1247). Private interment, St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation Monday one hour prior to Mass at church only.
