Louis Palermo

Palermo Louis, age 87, of Minnetonka (formerly of Mora), went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on 9/26/02. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jeanne; children, David (Donna), Daniel (Laurie), Dianne (Richard) Jensen, Doug, Dean (Sara); 11 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Phil (Edie) and Dominic; and many other relatives. Louis served the Lord for 46 years with his brother, Phil, as traveling evangelists with Youth for Christ. They traveled to churches throughout the United States, as well as 55 different countries, proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ as the ``Apostles of Cheer.'' His ministry continued throughout ``retirement'' when he served as a volunteer in several metro area hospitals. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation at Akkerman-Ingebrand Mortuary in Mora on Sunday, 9/29/02 from 3-5 pm. Funeral services to be held on Monday, 9/30/02 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Mora at 11 am. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery in Mora following the service. Memorials preferred to Youth for Christ, USA (Englewood, CO).
