Gene R. Wilson

Wilson Gene R. of Brooklyn, CT (formerly of Minneapolis, MN), died on Thursday, Sept 12, 2002 at age 81 in Putnam, CT. He was born on May 27, 1921 in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was the son of the late John R. & Fannie Caroline (Taylor) Wilson. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Mpls, MN. Shortly, thereafter, he served in the US Navy during World War II. He held various engineering & managerial positions; he retired from Kaman Aerospace. In Mpls, MN he is survived by a son, Ronald J. Wilson, & daughter-in-law, Valorie; granddaughter, Kelli Wilson; grandsons, Mark & Jeff Wilson; daughter Gloria Croissant & husband, Brad; their mother & grandmother, Vivian (Edlund) Wilson. On the East Coast, he is survived by a son, Jon Wilson, of Danielson, CT; a daughter, Doreen Brennan of Jewett City, CT; their mother, Dorothy (Johnson) Wilson. He is also survived by two special nieces, Karen (Reamer) Elbert, & husband, Don, of Brownsville, TX; Barb Blair, & husband, Bill, of Mpls; and by additional family including Colleen (McNally) Reamer of Voluntown, CT and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Wilma (Wilson) Reamer Hagen; nieces, Judy Reamer; Joanne (Reamer) Boyum; & nephew, Tom Reamer. Visitation will be held at the Bradshaw Funeral Home, 3131 Minnehaha Ave, Mpls, MN on Monday, Sept 23, 2002 from 5 pm - 8 pm. A private burial will take place at Lakewood Cemetery.
