Potter Gloria J., age 56 Memorial services will be 11am on Monday, September 16, 2002 at Grace United Methodist Church in Paynesville, for Gloria J. Potter, age 56, of Paynesville who died Friday at the St. Cloud Hospital from a sudden heart attack. Friends may call from 5-7pm on Sunday at the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home, in Paynesville and after 10am on Monday at the church. Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home, in Paynesville made the arrangements. Gloria was born on July 17, 1946 in Paynesville, Minnesota to Floyd and Gladys (Liestman) Hurd. She married Steven Potter on April 26, 1975 in Minneapolis. She was involved in management for Dayton's Department stores and went on to property management in Minneapolis, most notably at The Cliff's in Minnetonka. She also was in partnership with her husband Steven in radio station management in the cities of Benson, Spencer, IA, Brainerd, Austin and Litchfield. In her most recent years, they returned to Paynesville to care for her parents. Gloria's greatest joy in life came from caring for her granddaughter, Taylor. Surviving Gloria is her husband Steven; her son, Timothy (Tracey) Haines and granddaughter, Taylor; and her parents, Floyd and Gladys Hurd, all of Paynesville; her brother, Roger (Cindy) Hurd, of Plymouth; as well as 4 nephews; a niece and 9 great nieces and nephews.
