Kaul, Mary Ellen (Koop) Age 80, of Minnetonka, died peacefully June 12, 2007. Preceded in death by husband, Gerhardt. Mary Ellen shared her joy of life with her children, Karen (Jack) King, Jan Kaul, David Kaul, Kris Nash, Gretchen (Dave) Benner; grandchildren Rachel (Evan) Cutler, Kenneth (Britney) Nash, Ryan, Michael and Shivani Nash, Alex and Nick Benner, 3 great-grandchildren, extended family and friends who all will miss her dearly. She was born March 11, 1927 in Brainerd. After graduation from the U of M in Journalism and raising her children, she returned to earn a Masters degree in Special Education. She taught in the St. Paul schools for 18 years before retiring. A believer in service to the community, Mary Ellen volunteered in Mpls. Schools for 7+ years. She also served on the board of ARC and Reach for Resources; was a member of Minnetonka Senior Chorale and Friends of Camphill. In lieu of flowers, donations to Friends of Camphill Village, MN preferred. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 PM, Friday, 6/22/07 at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1900 Nicollet Ave, Mpls.
