Senander, Kevin James Age 59. Died peacefully on the evening of September 2, 2015, at his home in St. Paul after a courageous battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Kevin was born September 28, 1955 in Minneapolis. Graduated from St. Louis Park High School and St. Cloud State where he received a BS in Finance. Preceded in death by his parents, Ellen and Joseph Senander and Luitgard Dodemont. Survived by his wife, Mary Schaffer; brothers, Alan (Mary) and John; and dear puppy Honey. Kevin held various finance and accounting positions over the years first in private industry and then in the federal government, retiring from USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service in 2014. Kevin was a life-long learner, taking classes in Accounting at University of St. Thomas and then pursuing studies in Natural Resources at the University of Minnesota. He enjoyed the outdoors and volunteer work on water quality and resources. Kevin also enjoyed time working on his antique car collection and networking with car friends from around the country. Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Tuesday, September 8 at NATIVITY OF OUR LORD CATHOLIC CHURCH, Stanford at Prior, St. Paul. Private interment.
