Maher, John Thomas "Tom/JT" Age 83 of Inver Grove Heights. Formerly of West St. Paul. Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 28, 2015, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Preceded in death by loving wife and one true love, Mae; daughter, Mary; parents, Bernard & Helen; sisters, Gloria, Bernadette, Betty, Theresa, Margie, Mae, Rita & Charlotte; brothers, Charlie & Ray. Survived by brother, Jim; children, Nancy (Jeff) Schwartz, Sharon (Charles) Pirkl, Bruce (Michelle), Brian (Kathy), Jay (Jeanne) & Amy (Jerry) Berge; grandchildren, Kevin (Jessie), Keith (Kyrstin), Kate, Molly (Luke), Karen, Tony, Mary, Jacob (Melody), Stephanie (Todd), Pam (Mike), Tom, Steven, Angie, Maddi & Mike; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Autumn, Caitlin, Gus & Ella; also many nieces, nephews & friends. Tom was a devout Catholic who loved the Lord, his wife and family above all else. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Most may remember him from his Robert Street days as owner/operator of A & W Dive In and JT'S Food Land. He touched many lives with his quick wit, sense of humor and true interest in others. One of Tom's greatest pleasures was to serve others as evidenced by his strong work ethic. Visitation 4-8 PM Wednesday, September 2nd at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave. Inver Grove Heights. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Thursday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church, 2035 15th Ave. W., Hastings. Visitation also 1 Hour prior to Mass at church.
