Lieb, Marilyn Hope age 71, of Minnetonka, died on Friday, May 18, 2007 after a short struggle with Kidney Cancer. Marilyn was born to Gertrude and Harold Hope and grew up in rural Kenyon, MN. She married Robert Lieb and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in January 2007. Marilyn was a loving wife and mother and a favored aunt to her large extended family. She worked as an Administrative Assistant, most recently at Carlson Companies where she retired in February after 15 years of service. Music was a passion and Marilyn was an especially talented vocalist with her church choirs. She was a long-time Lion's Club member and she took great pride in being the Editor of the Lions District 5M5 newsletter. A few of Marilyn's favorite things were: Meadowlarks, peonies, political humor, movie musicals, making krumkake, Thanksgiving, hugs, and snuggling her grandchildren. Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband, Bob; daughter, Tracy (Scott) Goodwin, of Minnetonka, MN; her son, Steve (Dawn) Lieb, of Cologne, MN; 2 sisters, Barbara Hope of Hopkins, MN and Doris (Paul) Meyer of Mankato, MN. Marilyn is also survived by her six grandchildren, Kate Goodwin (18), Anton Lieb (14), Colin Lieb (13), Julia Goodwin (13), Anna Lieb (11), and Isabel Lieb (9); plus dozens of adored nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Marilyn is now rejoined with infant son, Douglas who predeceased her in 1964.
