Francis Walter L. ``Wally,`` age 77, of Mpls, died on Sept. 6, 2002. Wally was born on February 13, 1925 in Spooner, MN to Albert and Hattie (Ogren) Francis. He graduated from Falls High School in Int'l Falls, MN. In 1947, he married Louise Kalar and moved to Mpls. He worked as an accident investigator: 18 years for his father-in-law, John Kalar, at General Investigation Co., and later for other attorneys. In the past several years, Wally became a computer ``wizard,'' keeping in touch with family and friends around the country. Survived by his wife, Louise; daughter, Cathy (Richard) Black of Hawthorn Woods, IL; son, John Michael (Susan Tasa) Francis of Edina; granddaughter, Erica Black; sister, Evelyn (Bowman) Nyberg of Int'l Falls. Preceded in death by his sister, Irene (Max) Kalar. Memorial Service will be on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 1 PM at Judson Memorial Baptist Church, 4101 Harriet Ave. S. Mpls.
