Held, Edith Mary age 83, of Golden Valley, passed away on March 19, 2007. Born Jan. 15, 1924 to Alma and Lawrence Swanson. Preceded in death by loving husband, Frederick W. Held of 51 years; parents; sisters, Gladys Luhman of Mpls., Alyce Davis of WA; brother, Ronald Swanson of WA. Survived by sons, James (Cecilia), Jeffrey (Mae), Gary (Janet), Charles (Paula) and Mark (Colleen); daughter, Kristi (Robert) Frey; loving grandmother of Christina and Christopher Held, Jonathan Held, David (Annie) Frey, Michael (Autumn) Frey, Jim, Steve and Julie Frey, Tim, Dan and Eric Held, Marissa, Wyatt and Gavin Held, Noah, Cole and Gage Held; loving great-grandmother of Micah and Caleb Frey; also survived by sisters, Lucile (Eugene) Turner of IL, Joyce (Donald) Allston of WA; brothers-in-law, Keith Davis of WA and John Luhman of Mpls.; many other loving relatives. Edith was a long-time member of Golden Valley Lutheran Church. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to the church. Interment Lakewood Cemetery. Service Saturday 11 AM at Golden Valley Lutheran Church, 5501 Glenwood Ave., Golden Valley.
