Ruth Ellen Goetz

Goetz, Ruth Ellen Age 75, of Burnsville, formerly of Richfield, passed peacefully in the company of her children at Lake Ridge Health Care Center. Ruth was born on a farm in Green County, near Monroe, Wisconsin. She married her husband Tom in 1951. As well as being the devoted mother of six, she worked as a secretary and export specialist, was an avid crafter, and enjoyed volunteering numerous hours in the Peace Church kitchen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Goetz; daughter, Dianne Goetz Jones; parents, William/Lena Hartwig. She will be missed by children, Dave (Anne) of Milwaukee, WI, Dan (Deb), Debbie (Steve) Carter, Donna Blake of Eagan, Darcy (Mark) Pouti of Mound; brother, John (Janet) Hartwig, mother-in-law, Marian Goetz Arndt, brother-in-law, Jim (Ruth) Goetz; and beloved grandchildren, Annie (Ben) De Bono, Abby and Amy Blake, Mandy (Chris) Bellm, Michelle (Jason) Balota, Justin (Sarah), Ashley, Kim Goetz; Mike, Tom, Melissa Carter, Brooklyn Pouti; great-grandchild, Tyler Balota; as well as by beloved friends and family. A memorial service will be held at 9:30 AM Saturday, March 17 at Peace Reformed Church, 2180 Glory Drive, Eagan, MN 55122 (651-454-4542). Visitation will precede service by one hour at the church. Memorials to Ruth Goetz for her favorite charities preferred in lieu of flowers. Ruth wishes this to be a celebration of her life and requests colorful attire.
