Hendrickson, Harry Age 82, of Osseo, passed away March 6th. Harry is survived by his wife of 58 years Jeanne, his sister Ollie Peterson, 5 children, Rick, Ron (Gigi), Lori Wachter (Rob), Bob (Kathy), Lisa Bartz (Pete), 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He taught his family and friends how to live with humor and dignity while overcoming numerous medical set backs. Harry was born in Robbinsdale, served in the Army, and graduated from the University of Minnesota where he played football (1947 - 49). His 50 year business career was in the Metals Industry. After a series of strokes he became an active volunteer at the Courage Center, demonstrating how to live as a stroke survivor and not a stroke victim. In 2000 he was received the Everyday Hero Award from the American Heart Association. He was proud of his Swedish heritage and was a member of the American Swedish Institute and Svenska Sallskapet. His "attitude is everything", his easy smile, and his love of people endeared him to many. Visitation on March 12th, 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gearty-Delmore Chapel, 15800 37th Ave N., Plymouth. Funeral service March 13th, 10:30 a.m. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 18500 County Road 101, Maple Grove. Visitation one hour prior to service.
