McLean, Lois E. Age 89, of St. Paul. Mom passed away suddenly, yet peacefully, Sunday morning, August 2, 2015 while waiting to go to Mass. She was a practical woman with extraordinary talents and interests and left an indelible impression on everyone who knew her, especially her family. We will remember her as a remarkable wife, mother and grandmother with her ability to handle any situation with determination and skill. Her passion for golf provided her countless memories with friends and of course, Dad. She enjoyed the theater and music, loved to sew, needlepoint, and paint, and was a fabulous cook. She was a caring grandmother who taught the value of family with warmth - enjoying laughter while sharing a good meal. We will all miss her spicy, canned tomatoes, her summer jellies and her Colorado canned peaches. She will be missed more than she would ever have imagined. Preceded in death by husband, John; children, Kevin, Brian, Virginia & David. Survived by loving children, Veronica (John Dickenson) Allmaras, John (Emily), Mary McLean, Peggy (Bruce) Spittler, Tim (MaryAlice) and Colleen (John) Crawford; grandchildren, Katie, Herman, Ben, Anne, Charlie, Dillon, McLean, Amy, Williams and Meg; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Eckerson and Harriet Arend; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Tono McLean; along with many loving relatives.
