Miller, Donald A. Died February 21, 2007 of cancer at the age of 73. Don was born to Herbert and Myrtle Miller on March 17, 1933 in Appleton, MN. He was a longtime resident of Anoka, and for the last year and a half lived at Pullman Place Cooperative in Elk River. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert. He is survived by his loving wife, Eloise; children: Dana (Susan), Beth, and Neal (Jill); bother, Ron (Barbara); sisters: Marlene Kjera (John), Anita Arndt (Dennis), and Betty Peterson (Ed); grandchildren: Megan, Carson, Quinn, and Maxwell. Don graduated from MSU where he was football co-captain and fraternity president. He spent most of his career teaching architectural drafting at Coon Rapids Senior High School, a job he truly loved. Don was also the downhill ski team coach for many years. In 1978 he was named Minnesota Industrial Teacher of the Year. Don was a member of Coon Rapids Kiwanis and a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church, serving on many committees and a term as Council Chairman. Don loved his family, his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, gardening and flying stunt kites. A service to celebrate Don's life will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 4th and Adams Street, Anoka on Monday, February 26th, at 6:00 PM with visitation beginning at 4:30 PM. Memorials preferred to the Coon Rapids Senior High School Scholarship Program.
