Doris Louise Neuendorf

Neuendorf, Doris Louise Age 96, of Mpls, died peacefully on July 27, 2015. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother and friend. She was a lifelong learner and always kept up-to-date on current events. She saw both sides of an issue which often lead to lively conversation. She loved to garden, sew, and help others. She enjoyed entertaining and the company of friends and family. She was a wonderful baker and an adventurous, creative cook who created tasty meals regardless of budget or ingredient constraints. Recipes were guidelines to provide general direction, from which she would often deviate. Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold; parents Bertha and Richard; sister, Hazel. She is survived by her children, Richard (E. Sandra), Robert (Kathleen), Ann Neuendorf (Gary Ogren), and Nancy (David) Moe; grandchildren, Erik, Kurt, Gretchen, Benjamin, Shannon, Joshua, Lynzi, Daniel, and Nathan; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Marvin (Barbara); sister-in-law, Althea; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2730 East 31st Street Minneapolis, Minnesota, on August 28, 2015. Service at 11:00 AM, visitation one hour prior. Memorials preferred to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, N.C. Little Hospice, or Habitat for Humanity.
