Ballard, Lantha L. Age 96, formerly of Minneapolis, passed away July 26, 2015. Preceded in death by parents Roger and Evelyn and siblings Irvin, Clara, Harriett and Howard (Bart). Survived by sister Dorothy Isaacson of Rogers, MN. She will be missed by her 14 nieces and nephews. Lantha worked for the Fullerton Lumber Company of Minneapolis as an executive secretary for 53 years. Even in her later years, she never found a note, envelope, or other thing of interest that she didn't feel the need to paper clip and file. She was an independent, gregarious woman active in the Minneapolis Hiking Club, the National Secretarial Association, and several bowling teams. Lantha loved traveling to many different parts of the world, especially Hawaii. Deep sea fishing was a draw there, but she never missed a chance to go "up north" for the biggest walleye she could catch. Even at 96, and living at Eaglecrest Presbyterian Homes of Roseville, she found it hard to be dependent on others. Thank you to her caregivers, many of whom have said they will miss her laugh and her sense of humor. A private family memorial will be held.
