Stoen, Brian S. Age 45, born on 6/7/60 in Phoenix, AZ at Maricopa County Hospital. He passed away in his Mpls home on 1/12/07. He made peace with his heart trouble and obesity problem. He also had a history of sleep apnea, as well as asthma and diabetes, Brian went to a higher plane where he is calm and relaxed. He graduated from North High School in 1979. He worked at Broadway Pizza on Broadway as a cook for 18 years. Brian was also a member of the Unite-Here (Restaurant) Union. His favorite pastimes were crossword puzzles, watching TV (Star Wars, Star Trek, the Cooking Channel, Fishing, the MN Twins and Timberwolves, as well as Auto Racing). He especially liked the MN State Fair. Preceded in death by his mother, Henrietta Umberger (whom he was especially close to); his step-father, Robert Umberger; grandparents, Hazel and George Van Ravenhorst; his aunt, Effie Rich; uncle, Delbert Van Ravenhorst. He is survived by two brothers and one sister, David, Bill (Denise) and Debra Stoen; his niece, Rachel (Chad) Spande and cousins Mercedes and Collin Spande; uncles, Dick (Linda) and Jim (Diane) Van Ravenhorst, Wally Rich; aunt, Verna (Harold) Worthen, and many other family and friends. He was a loving son, brother and friend. "Brian, may God Bless and keep you. You will be missed." A small gathering at the gravesite with Reverend Mark Volkers, Saturday, 1/20/07 at 2:00 PM. We will meet for refreshments at the restaurant in Downtown Hollandale after the graveside service.
