Charles ``Chuck'' R. Abrams, Sr., 65, died August 25 from complications from multiple myeloma with his wife, children and grandchildren at his bedside. Preceded in death by his father, Charles ``Pete'' Leroy Abrams; grandparents, John & Mary Rose Heitkamper and Jasper & Elizabeth Abrams; and infant niece, Mary Abrams. Survived by Sylvia, his wife of 45 years; adored children, Chuck, Jr. (Carol), Melissa (Mark) Caulfield and David (Jim Dziuk); beloved grandchildren, Carrie and Caitlin Abrams, Mickey Caulfield, Katrina Suddard-Caulfield and Lauren Mack; former daughter-in-law, Colleen Abrams-McGraw; mother & stepfather, Rosalie & Bill Elble; brothers, Jerry Abrams (Norma), Steven Elble, Randy Elble (Janet), Rick Elble; sisters, Mary Bedel and Sharon Flora (Dennis); nieces and nephews, Jerry, Paul and Monica Abrams, Amanda and Jackie Bedel, Emily and Hailie Flora; and many other relatives and friends. Chuck was born in Jeffersontown, KY and lived in Louisville, KY and New Albany, IN until 1970 when he moved his family to Brooklyn Center, MN. As an employee of the Pillsbury Co he retired after 36 years and spent his remaining years in volunteer work and with his beloved family. He worked with Pillsbury's Golden Ambassadors, Habitat for Humanity, St. Joseph's Home for Children and the Church of St. Gerard Parish Council, Building Committee, Outreach Committee and other ministries. Mass of Christian Burial TODAY 11 AM, at the Church of St. Gerard, 9600 Regent Ave N., Brooklyn Park. Visitation one hour prior to the service at church.
