Strom Geraldine ``Bunny'', age 80, of Mpls, died Thursday, August 22, 2002 peacefully in her home. Bunny, as she was called by all who knew her, was born on June 27, 1922 to Marie and Daniel Bonneau in Hermansville, MI. She moved to Minnesota upon completing her nursing degree from the University of Michigan. Bunny met Neal Strom in Red Wing, MN whom she married on August 28, 1946. They eventually settled in the Twin Cities, where she retired as a teacher of LPN Pediatric Nursing in the Mpls Public School Vocational Program. Through the years, Bunny touched many hearts with her work at Olmstead County Hospital, Swedish Hospital, Hennepin County General Hospital and Fairview Southdale Hospital. Bunny was active as the first president of the Rochester Welcome Wagon. She was also president of Horace Mann Elemetary PTA. She served as both Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader. She was a long time member of Island View Golf Club. Bunny was an avid bridge player and a member of several bridge clubs. Bunny lived a fulfilled life and was cherished by all who knew her, from the golf course, to the bridge club, to friends and family. Bunny is survived by her daughter, Kristin of Portland, OR; her son, Kirbe (Becky) of Bloomington; her daughter, Kyle (John) Winden, of Mpls and her brother, Clement of Milwaukee, WI. She is also blessed with 6 grandchildren, Eric, Emily, Jesse, Kip, Eileen and Noah, all of whom she was exceedingly proud. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neal. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, August 28, 2002. Visitation starts at 1 pm with service beginning at 2 pm at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapel in Edina. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to donor's favorite charity.
