Florence S. Boyd

Boyd Florence S., born September 26, 1918; deceased Tuesday, August 13, 2002. Wife of Loris C. Boyd who passed away May 26, 2000. Survived by brother, Arthur W. Olofson of Golden Valley, MN. She attended Tuttle Grade School and John Marshall High School, both in Mpls. She was employed by Northwestern National Life Insurance Co in Mpls and the U.S. Quarter Master Corps in Washington D.C. While in Washington D.C., she met Loris Boyd and was married January 11, 1946, 56 years ago in Minnesota. Florence and Loris then moved to California where Loris was involved with the ownership of Zephyr Farms. Florence Boyd was involved with the ownership of Tall Fashions. She was a member of the Rose Society and also was a member of the Metropolitan Opera and the Fresno Merchant's Association. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, August 19, 2002 at 11 AM at Belmont Memorial Park. Remembrances may be made to the donor's favorite charity. Arr.
