Survived by children, Julie (Tom) Mesenbrink, Robert (Lynette) Smith, Marianna Smith, Jennifer (Ted) McCullum; ex-husband, Robert L. Smith; grandchildren, Collin, Ryan & Tyler; siblings, Robert (Bonnie) Morgan, Kay (Mike) Marshall, Bill (Diane) Morgan, Rose Goldstein; aunt, Marianna Foster; best friend, Joyce Gunderson; beloved cat, Miss Garbo; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Joan was a retired City of Richfield employee who loved sailing and flying. Her family background has 3 pilots including her father. Joan and her father were the first father-daughter to fly as a pilot-flight attendant team for Northwest Airlines in 1956.
