Bettyann D. Flaskamp Born in Bay City, Michigan on September 14, 1923, Bettyann died on August 12, 2002 as she lived enveloped in love and surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, William F. and Bess Dreyer, and her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 53 years, William D. Flaskamp. She is survived by her 5 children and their families: Ann Herring (Rick); Jill Halbrooks (James; granddaughters Besse and Emma); Meg Flaskamp; Thomas Flaskamp (Julie; grandchildren Ted, Abby and Ava); and Ted Flaskamp (Marcy; grandson Logan) and her brother & sister-in-law, William N. and Betty Dreyer. Bettyann left an indelible impression on all who met her. Beautiful inside and out, blessed with a natural elegance and grace, she lived life with passion. Bettyann loved travel, tennis, golf, her home and garden, but most of all, her family and friends. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren and created a warm, inviting home where all were welcome. A teacher by training and experience, Bettyann continued to teach all who loved her by her lifelong examples of generosity of the heart and spirit and courage and dignity in the face of physical challenges. She will be greatly missed, but lives on in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mpls Children's Hospital, where Bettyann volunteered for many years. A celebration of Bettyann's life will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 15, 2002 at Christ Presbyterian Church, 6901 Normandale Road, Edina. WERNESS BROTHERS 612-927-8641
