Kristin Anne Hertzel Young

Hertzel Young Kristin Anne, age 52, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2002 in Burlingame, CA, after a long and valiant battle with breast cancer. Kristin was born Sept. 23, 1949 in Quincy, IL and grew up in the Midwest. She graduated from Duluth East High School in 1967 and was the Director of Personnel for Mills Peninsula Hospital in Burlingame. She is survived by her husband, Robert Young; 3 sons, Shawn, Michael and Christopher, all of CA; her parents, Leo & Patricia Hertzel of Duluth; 4 brothers, Paul (Tammy) of Mason City, IA, David (Cynthia Jennings) of Weatherford, OK, Tony (Ann) of Mounds View and Tommy of Mpls.; 4 sisters, Nancy Hertzel of Maple Valley, WA, Holly Hertzel of Seattle, Laurie Hertzel (Doug Iverson) of St. Paul and Heidi Hermes (Tim) of St. Louis Park; and 11 nieces and nephews. Her older brother, John Patrick died in 1966. Memorial services will be at 6:30 PM Today in Congregational Church of San Mateo, CA. A second memorial service will be held in MN at a later date.
