Lloyd Henrik Olson
Olson, Lloyd Henrik age 87, born Nov. 5, 1927, went home to our Lord on July 5, 2015 after living with Alzheimer's. Preceded in death by daughter, Lynn; siblings, Mavis Yerks, Dr. Vern F. (Shirley) Olson, Ardis (Howard) Prestidge; and brother-in-law, Marvin Ashwill. Survived by wife, Polly (Anderson) Olson of 63 years; children, Susan (Wayne) Wahl-strom, Byron (Dianne) Olson, Denise Olson, Kay (Duane) Kojetin, Jean (Brad) Norgren, Christopher (Stacy) Olson; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Ashwill, Marlis (Arnie) Maurer; and brother-in-law, Don Yerks; many other relatives and friends. Lloyd was born in South Haven to Frank and Elvera Olson. He spent his youth on their farm/resort swimming and boating with his siblings, attending Lake Union Covenant Church, graduating from Annandale High School, served in the US Navy. He lived in New Hope, and was a member of Brookdale Covenant Church. Lloyd had a long career at Northwestern Bell. Lloyd attended the U of M and several Trade schools. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association or Covenant Pines Bible Camp. Service Wed. 7/8/15, visitation at 12:30, memorial service at 1:30 pm, at Brookdale Covenant Church, 5139 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center, MN 55429.
