Parsons, Grace Adelaide (Covert) Grace died at 96 in Minneapolis on May 19, 2015. Born in Minneapolis on September 23, 1918, she graduated from Washburn High School and the University of Minnesota. Grace was a kind, honorable and well-read woman of deep faith who loved and enjoyed her family, gardening, reading and traveling. She was a lifelong Gopher football and hockey fan including attending all the hockey games at Mariucci last season, and steadfast supporter of the U of M. Survived by sons Chuck (JoAnne) and Dick (Shari); grandchildren Charles III (Patrice), Daniel (Tara), Nancy Parsons-Borland (Charles Borland), Matthew (Beth Ann) and Steven (Amy); great grandchildren Emily, Michael, Kate, Ella Grace, Ben and Eva Catherine; and sister Patricia Puffer. Preceded in death by husband Charles Allan ("Al or "Pars") Parsons, parents Glenn Alton Covert and Hulda Malinda Covert (Wilson), brother John Covert and sisters Bessie Covert Stuart, Evelyn Covert and Helen MayRose Covert Kennedy. A memorial celebration of her life will be held on July 12, 2015 at 2 PM at Jones-Harrison Residences, 3700 Cedar Lake Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55416. There will be time to greet her family following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Scholarship Fund of the University of Minnesota Foundation or donor's choice. Grace's family thanks the Allina Hospice Team and the staff at Jones-Harrison for all their wonderful care provided to Grace.
