Rodde, Frederick "Fritz" age 90, was received into the arms of Jesus on June 26, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was blessed to have an unwavering faith and wide circle of devoted family and friends throughout his life. After his service in the US Navy during WWII, he taught upholstery at Mpls. Vocational HS for 30 years, and continued an active life of recreation and creative pursuits after retirement. Fritz had endless energy for his family and friends, and lived out his faith daily, giving generously of his time to various Christian organizations. He and his wife Shirley were blessed with 66 loving and fulfilling years together. Fritz is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, James Rodde, Julie (Steven) Aasgaard, Rachel (David) Lowe; grandchildren, Jeff, Scott and Kim Aasgaard, Ryan Pekarna; step-grandchildren, Jennifer and Katie Lowe; sisters, Rosella Strandemo and Alice Bishop; sister-in-law, Marian Rodde. He was preceded in death by parents, Alfred and Marie (Langemo) Rodde; brothers, Albion and Phillip Rodde; sister, Aldora (Harris) Lee; brothers-in-law, Byron Bishop, Stanley Overby and Alverne Stran-demo. Memorial service Thursday, (July 2), at 11:00 AM at Woodlake Lutheran Church, 7525 Oliver Ave. S., Richfield. Visitation beginning at 9:30 AM at the Church. Interment at Ft. Snelling.
