Birdell Mary Voeks

Voeks Birdell Mary, 84, passed away peacefully Sat., Aug. 3, 2002 at her home. She was born June 19, 1918 in Madison Lake, MN. She worked as a waitress for over 31 years, which included the Pizzaria, Lynlake Cafe, Loring Cafe and the Chicken Shack. Birdell was a lifetime member and devoted volunteer of the VFW Ballentine Post 246 for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeris. Birdell will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 57 years, Kenny Voeks; son, Dennis Voeks & his wife Colleen; sister, Betty Oberts of MN; 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and her faithful cat, Tiki. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Ballentine VFW Post 246, 2916 Lyndale Av S, Mpls, MN 55408 in her memory.
