Kaiser, Robert Marshall "Bob" Age 88, of Bloomington, died peacefully on September 13, 2006, of complications connected with Parkinson's disease. A life- long resident of the Twin Cities, he graduated with honors from the Business School of the University of Minnesota in 1940. He served proudly in World War Two as a Lieutenant in the US Navy, stationed in the Pacific on the USS Zebra. Employed by Cargill, Inc. for 40 years at the time of his retirement in 1986, he managed their offices in Beatrice, Nebraska and Grand Forks, North Dakota before returning to Minneapolis to trade for Cargill in the Minneapolis Grain Exchange. In 1947 he married Beverly (Raitt) Kaiser, whom he loved steadily and with all his heart for nearly sixty years. She survives him, as do his children, James (Elizabeth Myhre) Kaiser of Minneapolis and Nancy Kaiser of Madison, Wisconsin. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Edward William and Helen, as well as his elder brother, Bill. Family and friends remember Bob with love and gratitude as a man of strength and integrity. He took great pleasure in family, friends, tennis, and travel. When his children were growing up, travel meant going "up north" for the summer joys of fishing, boating, and swimming. In later years, he and Bev enjoyed trips abroad and numerous relaxing cruises. Diagnosed over ten years ago with Parkinson's disease, he continued to lead a full and active life as long as possible. The family wishes to express gratitude to the staff of the Edina Care Residence, who cared for Bob in the last months of his life, and to Fairview Hospice Care. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 11 AM at Richfield Lutheran Church, 60th and Nicollet. Visitation with the family will be at the church one hour before the memorial service. Private interment will be at Fort Snelling. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers any memorials to the National Parkinson Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice. Washburn-McReavy Werness Bros. Bloomington Chapel 952-884-8145
