Carolynn C. Nickel

Nickel, Carolynn C. age 63, of Shakopee, died peacefully on May 20, 2015, at her home with her loving family at her side after a bold and courageous battle with cancer. Carolyn graduated from Cleveland High School, attended Mankato State for accounting, and was a service member in the United States Air Force. Known as Nana to her grandchildren, Carolynn shared her love of gardening, bird-watching, and cooking shows, and was a continuous wellspring of knowledge to all who knew her. She is survived by her beloved husband, Doug; daughters, Tristine and Caryn; grandchildren, Sophia and Daz, Jake, Josh and Kiera; and many other family and friends who have been blessed to cherish the joy of her memory. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank L. Strzynski; mother, Charmaine O'Connell; father-in-law, Harry Nickel; and mother-in-law, Rose Marie Nickel.
