Locketz Harold D. Locketz, M.D., 77, died July 30 at Porter Hospice Residence in Denver, Colorado. He was born in Fergus Falls, MN, to Louis and Elizabeth Locketz on March 30, 1925, and moved to Denver in 1950. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1949 and served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force. His work as a psychiatrist included community mental health, the Veterans Administration, education, consultation and private practice. He was an avid advocate for the arts and the environment and enjoyed travel, music and fine wine. He was the beloved husband of Janice Temple; father of Leslie (bobby johnson) Locketz and Jan (Bart Marksohn) Locketz; brother of J. Seymour Locketz and Sidney Locketz and grandfather of Bailey, Ellis and Jesse. A Memorial Service will be held in Denver at a later date. Contributions in his honor may be made to the Nature Conservancy, Western Regional Office, 3060 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80302, or Parkinson's Association of the Rockies, 1420 Ogden Street, Suite 103, Denver, CO 80218.
