John A. Schroeder

Schroeder John A., age 86, of Long Prairie, died Mon. at Long Prairie. Memorial Service will be 1:00 PM Sat. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Prairie. Visitation with the family one hour prior to services. He grew up in Long Prairie graduating in 1933. Married Florence Klemenhagen in 1937. Went to work for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, WA for several years, returned to Long Prairie where he owned and operated Schroeder's Cafe and Jack's Cafe and managed the Long Prairie Liquor Store for several years. They returned to Washington and Boeing retiring in 1978. After retiring they returned to Long Prairie where he was active in Lions Club, the Country Club and worked for Stephan-Stein Funeral Home. Survivors include 2 sons, Jack of Long Prairie and Ron of Portland, OR.
