McCoy Arlette (Rolstad) McCoy was born to Oscar and Sophie Rolstad on December 8, 1914 in Sisseton, South Dakota. She died on July 8, 2002 in Edina, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her baby son, Tommy; by her sisters, Irene, Myrtle, Vivian, Ruby and Ardelle; and by her brothers, Orvin, Herbert and O'Dean. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Phil McCoy; by daughters, Marsha Wilson and Barbara Deines (husband Stephen); by grandchildren, Sarah (husband Colin Hall), Nigel and Ben; by great-grandson, Peter and by sisters, Nordise, Jerry (husband Max Sckerl) and Gladys. Arlette graduated from Sisseton High School, began her career as a beautician and worked for eighteen years as an executive secretary at Dayton's. She was an expert golfer, bridge player, cook and seamstress. In later years, she made countless beautiful quilts. She was an active member of the Lutheran Church all of her life. She will be remembered by those who knew and loved her for her loving compassion and nurturing strength. A memorial service will be held at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 3930 Rahn Road in Eagan. Visitation will be held the hour before. Friends and family are invited to join together after the service at 1871 Silver Bell Road in Eagan. Memorials may be given to N.C. Little Hospice of Edina.
