Johnson, Ed J. Age, 59, of Woodbury, passed away 4/19/15 after battling cancer. He graduated from NDSU in 1977 and his career spanned more than 3 decades in the power industry, the majority at Xcel Energy. He was passionate about his most recent position as a Senior Originator - Energy Trading, and cherished his industry colleagues. He was a treasured dad to 2 daughters and 'Papa' to 5 grandkids. Ed enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping & considered himself a wine sommelier (even though he was just a hack). He was preceded in death by father George and sister Georgie. He is survived by daughter,s Katie Rivard (Chris) and Cassie Reutzel (Travis); grandkids, Isabelle & Stella Rivard and Ryder, Reese & Reagan Reutzel; mother Carol Johnson; siblings, Mickie Currier (Dan), Bud Johnson (Julie); brother-in-law, Dave Hjermstad; former-spouse, Sue Johnson. A celebration of life will be held on April 29 at Sweeney's Saloon, from 4-7 pm, 96 North Dale St. in St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the Minnesota Valley In-Fisherman Club, a club Ed enjoyed being a member of. Proceeds support youth programs, teaching underprivileged kids how to fish.
