William J. Coffing

Coffing, William J. Passed away April 14, 2015. Born in Venice, California; grew up in Mott, ND, and graduated from Dakota Lutheran H.S. in Minot, ND. He served four years in the US Navy, and received his bachelor's degree from Concordia College in Moor-head, MN, where he met his wife, Ella Marie Bjornstad. He married Ella on August 15, 1959, and they lived in New Brighton for many years. William was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Ida; daughter, Elizabeth; son, Gregory; sister, Gloria Monteith; brother, Tom; brothers-in-law, James and Odin Bjornstad, Larry Monteith. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Ella Coffing; son, Jon (Johnna); daughter, Stephanie (Erik) Lindgren; grandsons, Braydan (Katie) and Jordan Coffing; grand-daughters, Danica and Carly Lindgren; sisters-in-law, Imogene, Janet, Delores Bjornstad; several nieces & nephews, and many friends. Services will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1900 7th St NW, New Brighton, on Monday, April 20, at 12:00 PM with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
