Abram, Ervin L. "Abe" May 21, 1922 - April 11, 2015 Age 92, of Plymouth, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Sunrise of Edina in Edina, MN. Preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Lena Abram, one brother, Clifford Abram and two sisters, Mildred Quast and Irene Slettum, their spouses and his loving wife of 62 years, Mildred Abram (nee Scott) on March 2, 2008. Abe served his country in WW II in the Army from 1943 until 1945 in Europe in the 2829th Engineer Combat Battalion. He worked in the auto body industry at several car dealerships, including Minor Ford and Art Goebel Ford retiring in 1980. He was a kind hearted and patient husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He and his wife enjoyed the small hobby farm they owned in Hillman, MN until 2000 and their winter escapes to AZ. Survived by his daughters, Nancy Wall and Jane McAloney (significant other, Alva Pingel III); grandchildren, Lisa (Jim) Wombacher (Chuck Wall father of Lisa), Camille McAloney and Spencer McAloney (father of Camille and Spencer, Curt McAloney) great-grandsons, Nicholas and Gavin Wombacher; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise of Edina Assisted Living and Fairview Hospice Care that provided him companionship, care and spiritual support. Memorial service to be held Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Cremation Society of Minnesota, Edina Chapel, 7110 France Avenue South, Edina, MN 55435, (952) 924-4100. The visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. until the memorial service at 3:00 p.m. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
