Daniel L. Maher

Maher Daniel Lawrence, age 77, went home to be with Jesus Tuesday morning July 2nd. He was at home. Born May 9th, 1925. He attended St Thomas the Apostle Grade School and Washburn High School. Dan served in the Navy during WW II. Dan loved to fish and swim. He was an active member of St Thomas the Apostle Church where he was an usher and a Lay Eucharistic Minister. He was a former employee of GE, as well as having his own tax business. Survived by wife, Beulah; children, Rosemary (Mike) Benke, Daniel, Patrick (Lynnette) and Stephen (Brenda) Maher, Kathleen (Tim) Taykalo, Theresa Crawford, and Timothy and Michael Maher; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Visitation 4-7 pm Friday, concluding with 7 pm Rosary Service at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, West 50th St and Vernon Ave at Hwy 100, Edina. Mass of Christian Burial 11 am Saturday at the Church of St Thomas the Apostle, 44th and Upton Ave S, Mpls. Visitation also one hour prior to service at church. Interment Lakewood Cemetery.
