Gazdzik Mary T., age 73, of St. Cloud, formerly of Golden Valley, MN, died Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Mary was born August 18, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Bartley and Madge McGlynn and was a graduate of Roman Catholic High School, Philadelphia, PA. She married Charles J. Gazdzik on January 29, 1958. Mary began her career with Sears Department Store in Philadelphia, PA and then worked with her husband's business, Gazdzik Sales Company until 1981. They then moved to Golden Valley, MN. There Mary belonged to the Church of the Good Shepherd, where she was active in the Rosary Altar Society, was funeral luncheon coordinator, and served meals to the homeless at the Branch II shelter in Minneapolis. She enjoyed her many senior trips and participation in the YMCA ``Livewires'' exercise group. With ailing health, in 1999, Mary moved to St. Cloud, MN, and then to the Country Manor, Sartell, MN, in April of 2002. Mary enjoyed time with her son, Kaz, and daughter-in-law, Jenni and their two Siberian Huskies, commonly referred to as her grand dogs. She was proud of her Irish heritage, always enjoyed a good dessert and a cup of tea, and was a wonderful cook and hostess for many family gatherings including camping getaways. Her sense of humor, jolly laugh, and positive outlook on life will be greatly missed. Mary is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Kazimir & Jennifer (Koopmeiners) Gazdzik of St. Cloud; brothers & sisters-in-law, and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995, and a brother, Donald in 2001, and her parents. Funeral service 10 am Monday, July 8, 2002 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Cloud, MN. Rev. Greg Lieser will officiate. Burial at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Mpls, MN, 1:30 pm Monday. Visitation Sunday, July 7, 2002 from 5 to 8 pm at the Williams Funeral Home in St. Cloud and Monday at the church one hour prior to service.
