Becker, Erhart H. age 101, of Shell Point Village, Ft. Myers, FL, previously of Edina, MN died peacefully after a short illness on Feb. 13, 2015 with his family at his side. Erhart was preceded in death by wives Edna Koep Becker and Dorothy Evenden. He leaves behind a son Dr. Bruce Becker and wife Carol of Spokane, WA., a daughter, Mary Libby and husband David of Amelia Is., FL, 4 grand-children and 7 great-grand-children. Until retirement, Erhart was a senior executive with Cargill, Inc.'s grain division. He moved to Sanibel, FL in 1984 where he could enjoy the outdoors and golf year round. He first shot his age at 70 and every year after until age 99. Erhart's consistent optimism, sense of humor and love of life brought him a host of friendships and the respect of all who knew him. Erhart loved nature and one of his favorite places to visit was the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge. As an expression of sympathy for Erhart, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the "Ding" Darling Wildlife Society at One Wildlife Drive, PO Box 565, Sanibel, FL 33957.
