Ackerson, Tom Tom left us for Heaven on March 25. He was born to Dorothy and Fred Ackerson in Minneapolis where he was raised, and graduated from the University of Minnesota. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Tom is survived by his wife Marilyn, sons Paul and Tom, daughter Julie, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. After retiring from the Transportation Department of Deere and Company, Tom volunteered for the Habitat for Humanity in Minneapolis and held various positions in the Lutheran Church over the years. Tom and Marilyn enjoyed traveling in Europe and the USA from sea to shining sea. Tom was an enthusiastic fan of the Minnesota Gophers and the Vikings. Winters were enjoyed in the Arizona sun and summers were fun with family and friends on the Black River in Wisconsin. A service was held at American Lutheran Church in Sun City by the Reverend Chuck Paulson on March 27. Family and friends will meet in Wisconsin for prayers and remembering Tom's life in May. Donations to Habitat for Humanity or the Wounded Warriors Project will be appreciated.
