Eckholdt, David B. Age 75, of Mpls., passed away March 18, 2015 from ALS. Preceded in death by parents Evelyn B. and William H.; brother John; sister-in-law, Diane; son, John Breen. Born on July 20, 1939, David graduated from Roosevelt High School and received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Minnesota. David served in the US Army from 1962-65 and was stationed in Germany at that time. David was employed at Anoka County Human Services as a vocational counselor and supervisor for over 20 years. David's greatest passion was for his many friends, which he acquired and kept over his lifetime. His other interests included gardening and the environment, classical music, and his Swedish heritage. David was a dedicated father to his two sons, Peter and John. Survived by spouse, Julio Cesar Toribio; son, Peter; niece, Tracy Herd; nephew, Haftan; former wife, Leslie; as well as other family and friends. Memorial service Tuesday, April 14, 2PM at Unity Christ Church, 4000 Golden Valley Rd., Golden Valley, MN. Visit 1 hr prior at church.
