Wiegand Dorothy M. Wiegand, age 84, of the Country Manor Campus, Sartell and formerly of Burnsville, died Monday, July 21, 2003 at the Country Manor Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 26, 2003 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Rev. Marilee Benson officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale with full military rites provided by the Annandale Honor Guard. Dorothy Maxine Wiegand was born September 26, 1918 in Clearwater Township, Wright County to Frank and Stella (Jones) Wiegand. She grew up in Corinna Township and graduated from Annandale High School in 1936. She worked for a few years prior to serving in the U.S. Army from 1944- 1946. Dorothy then graduated from the College of Idaho in 1955 with a degree in Medical Technology. She worked in Redding, CA for a time prior to coming back to Minnesota where she was employed by the V.A. Medical Center in Minneapolis from 1963- 1984. She was a member of the American Legion and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Rainbow Chapter #276. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Alice Wiegand of Vermont; nieces & nephews, Pat (Darrell) Holtz of Redmond, WA, Ken (Roxanne) Wiegand of Meridian, MS, Laura (Gordon) Muellner of St. Cloud, Jon (Elaine) Wiegand of Motley, Elizabeth Casper of Tacoma, WA, Gerald Wiegand of Vermont; 28 great-nieces & nephews; and 12 great-great-nieces & nephews. Her parents; brother, Gerald; and nephew, Richard preceded her in death. The pallbearers will be Joshua & Wayne Wiegand, Joseph, Brian, Daniel & Brad Muellner.
