Flynn William J., 77, of Naples, FL, died June 22, 2002 at his residence after a lengthy illness. Mr. Flynn had been a resident of Naples since 1987 coming from Detroit, MI. Mr. Flynn had been a vice-president and general manager of Storer Broadcasting from 1958 to 1986 serving in many metropolitan cities. He was also a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Naples, FL, and a graduate of the Univ. of Iowa. Survivors include his wife, Claire Flynn of Naples, FL; three sons, William J. (Claudia) Flynn, III of Milton, MA, Kevin Flynn of Tiburon, CA, and John K. Flynn of Arizona; two daughters, Bridget (Robert) Jensen of Minneapolis, MN and Brooke Demming of Franklin Lakes, NJ; two sisters, Barbara Scott-Kent, CT & Patricia (Tom) Brown, Rockford, IL. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2002 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Naples, FL. Burial will be in the church memorial gardens. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Leukemia Society of America, Suncoast Chapter, 13907 N. Dale Mabry Hwy, Suite 101, Tampa, FL 33618. Walter Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, Bonita Springs, FL, is in charge of arrangements.
